Gibb Architects, 5/6 Park Circus, Glasgow

02/2003 - 10/2004

Post Part 2 Assistant Architect

Gibb Architects was my 1st full time position within an Architectural practice after completing my University Education. Being a small company I was given hands on experience from the start on a wide variety of projects at various stages from conceptual design to construction.

Projects Include:

India of Inchinnan, Renfrewshire, Scotland

A Grade A listed building in the art deco style, designed in 1930 by Thomas Wallis fell into disrepair in the early 1980's. Gibb Architects won the competition to renovate and extend the existing office block for the software company Graham Technology. This project also led onto another for the Graham family private residence.

Castle Toward, Cowal peninsula, Argyle, Scotland.

An outdoor education facility, based in a nineteenth century country house on the same site as the grade A listed 15th century castle. Gibb Architects were commissioned to provide a feasibility study and preliminary design for the House renovation and erection of new auditorium.

I also worked on various bespoke private housing projects for and flat developments.
