Demolition of Existing Croft House & Erection of New Dwelling, Gairloch, 2009
Currently being reviewed for planning permission this is a personal project for a 3 bedroom family home in the North West of Scotland. The aim is to re-use the stone from the existing ruin and provide a modern approach whilst being sensitive to the historic rural area of which the site is situated.
The construction is to be not only by sustainable means but also to provide a house with high energy efficiency incorporating, ground source heat pump technology, solar gain, wind energy and water recycling.
